Polyurethane upholstery vinyls are easy to clean. To prevent build-up of dirt and contaminants, which may cause permanent staining, periodic cleaning is highly suggested. The frequency of cleaning is dependent upon the environmental conditions to which the product is subjected.

General Cleaning and Maintenance       ◊ Dirt   ◊ Dust   ◊ Grime
   • Clean regularly with soap and water
   • Wipe up spills as soon as they occur
   • Alcohol based cleaners such as Fantastik^® and Formula 409^® can be used to clean and remove stains
   • Sanitize using disinfectants such as 1:5 bleach/ water solution
   • For stubborn stains, wipe the stain off with isopropyl (rubbing) alcohol as soon as possible
   • Thoroughly rinse all solution residue with clean water
   • Air dry

   • Clean with alcohol based cleaners, like Formula 409^®, or 20% solution of bleach and water
   • For tough^* stains clean using isopropyl (rubbing) alcohol
   • After cleaning, rinse surface with clean water and wipe dry
   • Prompt attention is important for successful removal of any stain
Guide refers to performance tests conducted in laboratory conditions. While the foregoing instructions have proven to work in many cases, especially in which ink stains are addressed immediately, not all ink stains can be removed. This information does not guarantee the user from the responsibility of the correct and safe use of product and referenced cleaning agents. Product may not protect against intentional stains or permanent inks.

High UV Maintenance Instructions
   • All Ultrafabrics High UV products should be stored in a dry, well ventilated area
   • Ultrafabrics mildew resistant surfaces do not promote mildew growth, however, mildew may grow on dirt and other foreign substances that are not removed from the fabric
   • The frequency of cleaning will vary greatly depending upon the local outdoor environment in which the product is used
   • Cushions should not remain wet or be covered, as this will increase the chances of mildew growth occurring
   • All of our High UV products perform best when they are paired with an open cell, reticulated, quick drying foam and/ or a waterproof, anti-mildew barrier between the fabric and foam and utilize air vents and/ or a mesh, open weave fabric bottom

Please Note: A variety of clothing and accessories may contain dyes that could transfer to lighter colors, depending upon variations in temperature and humidity. Dye transfer is difficult to control, not always fully preventable, and may be irreversible.
